What You Will Need
Before getting started, make sure you have:
- An active FlexyNode web hosting service
- Your server IP address from the client portal
- A Cloudflare account
- The domain added to Cloudflare

You can find your hosting IP address in the FlexyNode client area under your web hosting service.
Step 1: Log in to Cloudflare
- Visit https://dash.cloudflare.com
- Log in to your Cloudflare account
- Select the domain you want to connect
You will now see the Cloudflare dashboard for your domain.
Step 2: Open DNS Settings
Click DNS in the top menu.
Here you can view and manage all DNS records for your domain.
Step 3: Add an A Record
Click Add record and configure it as follows:
- Type: A
- Name: @
- IPv4 address: your FlexyNode server IP
- TTL: Auto
Set the proxy option to:
- 🟠 Proxied for Cloudflare protection
- ⚪ DNS only for testing purposes
Click Save when finished.
Step 4: Add the WWW Record
Create another record with these values:
- Type: CNAME
- Name: www
- Target: yourdomain.com
Apply the same proxy setting as the main record.
Step 5: Wait for DNS Propagation
DNS changes often take effect within minutes, but in some cases may take up to 24 hours.

During this time, your website may not be visible everywhere yet.
Verify Everything Is Working
You can confirm the setup using:
- https://dnschecker.org
- Visiting your domain in a browser
- Comparing the resolved IP address with the one in your FlexyNode panel
SSL Settings in Cloudflare
For a secure connection, we recommend:
Navigate to SSL/TLS → Overview and select:
- Full
- Or Full (Strict) if a certificate is already installed on your hosting
Warning
Avoid using Flexible SSL, as it can cause connection issues.
Common Issues
Cloudflare Error 521 or 522
Check that:
- The IP address is correct
- The server is online
- Firewall rules allow incoming connections
Old Website Still Appears
- Allow time for DNS propagation
- Clear the Cloudflare cache
- Test in a private browser window
