Using Subdomains for Your Server
Replace your server IP and port with a clean address like play.flexygames.nl. Learn how to create, manage and connect with subdomains.
Subdomains let you replace your server's default address (like gamenode02.flexynode.com:25567) with a clean, memorable address like play.flexygames.nl. Easier for your players to remember, and no port number to type.
This guide walks you through creating and managing subdomains from your game panel.
Step 1: Open the Subdomains Page
- Log in at gp.flexynode.com
- Select your server from the dropdown at the top
- Click Subdomains in the side menu
You'll see a list of any subdomains already linked to your server, or an empty state if you haven't created one yet.
Step 2: Create a Subdomain
Click the Create subdomain button. A pop-up opens with three fields:
- Subdomain — the name you want, for example
play,mc, orsurvival. Use letters, numbers and hyphens only. - Select a domain — choose
.flexygames.nl(this is the base domain we provide). - Select an allocation — pick which port on your server the subdomain should point to. The one marked (Primary) is your main server port; the others are extra ports you've added.
Click Create subdomain at the bottom of the pop-up to save.
Your new address is now live, for example play.flexygames.nl. No DNS waiting time — it works straight away.
Step 3: Connect With Your Subdomain
Give the new address to your players. For a Minecraft Java server with a non-standard port, the subdomain works without the port — players just type play.flexygames.nl and connect.
For Minecraft Bedrock or games that need a port, players still enter the port manually in their client.
Managing Your Subdomains
On the Subdomains page you can:
- See all your subdomains and which allocation each one points to
- Delete a subdomain you no longer need
- Create more subdomains — for example one per allocation if you run a Bungeecord network or multiple game modes
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use my own domain (like play.mywebsite.com)?
The Subdomains feature only supports our .flexygames.nl base domain. If you want to use your own domain, you can point it to your server with a DNS SRV record at your domain registrar — contact our support if you need help with that setup.
How many subdomains can I create? There's no fixed limit. Create one per allocation if it helps you organise a network.
Does it cost extra?
No — subdomains on .flexygames.nl are included with your server.
The subdomain isn't working — what now? Make sure the allocation you picked is actually running on your server. If you still have issues, contact support.
